True North Automotive is the largest fleet repair facility in our region who strive in excellent customer service for our customers.

We are seeking an experienced service manager to join our team.


Duties required in this role:


  • Manage service operations to achieve efficiency by maximizing production, controlling costs, and establishing solid employee relationships.
  • Drive staff motivation, performance, and productivity
  • Monitor the flow of work and intervene as required to ensure work is completed properly.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensures ongoing commitment to the needs of the customer and their vehicle.
  • Mentor, coach, train, & support the development of your team
  • Responds to customer inquiries in a timely manner, over the phone and in person.
  • Deal with challenging situations in a professional manner.
  • Ensures a smooth flow of communication with customers during repairs or maintenance work
  • Experience in leading and motivating a service team, and a proven track record of exceptional customer service
  • A selfstarter, with demonstrated ability to plan, set, and achieve goals
  • 35 years experience in an automotive Service Department
  • Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on operations and business processes
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Able to deal with internal and external customers tactfully, and professionally

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay
  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Fort McMurray, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- service advisor: 3 years (preferred)

  • Customer service: 3 years (preferred)
