About The Role


We are seeking a Digital Marketing and Sales Strategist to work alongside a strong, creative, and mature local sales and creative services team.

The Digital Marketing Strategist will bring innovation, passion, and creativity to implement digital marketing and social media opportunities to support our local clients and the CHEK brand.


You will identify digital marketing strategies to meet our clients' needs and demonstrate how CHEK's digital marketing platforms will support their business goals along with CHEK Television.

The Digital Marketing Sales Strategist will work in collaboration with the local sales team and creative services team to implement strategies, while also being hands-on for CHEK's own digital and social media marketing.


The Digital Marketing Strategist's primary focus will be:

  • Supporting the local sales team by creating digital sales opportunities as part of cross platform selling strategies
  • Identifying and creating new, unique digital initiatives designed to increase overall digital revenues while growing online views.
  • Implementing and maintaining a social media and digital strategy for CHEK Media Group to reach both our broadcast and digital audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and develop tasks, priorities, deliverables, with the sales and creative services team.
  • Create and implement digital components of sales packages, executing digital sales advertising purchased by clients.
  • Educating the sales team on the benefits of various digital advertising opportunities and how to pitch them to clients.
  • Attend projectrelated meetings such as kickoffs, brainstorms, and client reviews with and the creative and sales teams as needed.
  • Plan, develop and implement marketing strategies.
  • Develop video and social media content, implement SEO performance strategies, for CHEK clients and other CHEK Media related opportunities such as contests, promotions, local events, programming etc.
  • Develop digital strategies and brand standard templates for the CHEK Facebook and Instagram pages, sharing content, posts, measuring performance.
  • Schedule and monitor Google Ads for clients.
  • Stay current in marketing trends, google updates and changes in algorithms.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics of digital marketing campaigns.
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with the web development team on optimization initiatives.
  • Set up and optimize pay per click campaigns on all major search engines.
  • Monetize sponsorship campaigns and social media.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Marketing, Sales, New Media degree or diploma with a strong understanding of marketing concepts and various media.
  • Computer Science, Web Development
- or related technical background would be an asset

  • 5+ years' experience in related roles.
  • Experience in a multimedia platform environment would be an asset.
  • A thorough understanding of marketing related tools and technologies such as Google Analytics and AdWords, Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, Canva, Photoshop etc.
  • A detailed understanding of digital platforms, research, and analytics.
  • Experience developing and maintaining highly organized social media advertising.
  • Experience in search engine management and optimization (SEM & SEO)
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Indepth knowledge of current social media trends and how to maximize their potential to engage audiences.
  • A valid Driver's license, and covid vaccination are a requirement.
