Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of the Centre for Children, Youth and Families the Psychometrist performs a variety of duties involved in administering and scoring a battery of psycho-educational tests in accordance with clearly defined procedures, at the request of, and under the clinical direction of a psychologist.

Qualifications/Experience:
- At least one year of experience providing psychoeducational testing.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Higher level of education is an asset.
- Coursework in psychometrics/psychological assessment or equivalent education in psychology, psychotherapy, social work, counselling, or a related mental health field.
- Experience and training in administering current testing instruments, such as WISC, WAIS, WIAT, CTOPP, Conner's CPT, etc. (Additional training and mentoring will be provided if necessary.)
- Experience working with children, youth, and their families
- Work well under the supervision of a registered psychologist. Ongoing clinical supervision and training will be provided.
- Be available to work during standard business hours, with one or two evenings a week, flexibility is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required as extensive assessment report writing. Proficiency in a second language is an asset, especially in French, but not required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to cope in stressful situations
- Ability to work independently and professionally, as well as in a team environment with strong problemsolving skills
- Must be detailoriented, accurate, and dependable with strong organizational skills
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada on an ongoing basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collecting the individual's personal information and scheduling appointments if needed
- Administering and scoring using various testing instruments
- Observing and detailing behavioral observations to help the psychologist to complete the individual's evaluation
- Customizing tests for clients to suit specific agency needs
- Make recommendations to clinical team
- Ensures quality client care that is consistent with best practices, agency standards, and evidencebased approaches.
- Maintains necessary documentation and records.
- Provide accurate and timely reports
- Participates in supervision, meetings, case conferences, workshops (including professional development opportunities)
- Performs related work as assigned.
