Here at STEMCELL Technologies the Facilities team is growing and we are looking for an additional Maintenance Planner to join us In this role you will liaison between equipment and building systems specialists, maintenance scheduler, manufacturing operations, research & development (R&D) and supply distributions workgroups.

You will ensure planned and corrective maintenance work orders for both routine and shutdown work are planned to permit efficient and effective execution of all maintenance and reliability work at the facilities.


As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible to develop short and long-term maintenance strategy for planned and corrective work for all facility assets, including building services and manufacturing equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed Job Planning of Corrective work as well as PM Improvements to permit safe, effective, and efficient execution of scheduled maintenance activities
  • Work with Procurement and Material Management on quotes for materials or service requirements, as required
  • Create ePRF for required materials or services for planned Corrective and Preventive Maintenance.
  • Lead the development of new PM Plans and optimize existing maintenance strategies based on reliability, enduser feedback and as per facility SOP requirements
  • Lead and/or collaborate with appropriate workgroups in the development and stewardship of Change Control Requests (CCRs/TCRs), per company policy, for improvement/modifications to facility equipment, when required

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in a technical related program (Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering Technology or other) with 48 years of relevant experience.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification is an asset
  • Proficient in Work Control Management (Planning/Scheduling); ISO55001, ISO 13485, and with ECM/CMMS systems, spreadsheets, and related software
  • Technical knowledge of various equipment (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) and able to read technical manuals, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong Communication Skills and able to thrive in a dynamic and changing environment
