The Look Company specializes in providing event and location branding solutions for Sport, Retail and Commercial customers globally, is looking to hire a Purchasing, Inventory Control Director to join our team.
Regular Business Hours:
- Mon-Fri 9am-3pm (30 hours per week)
Annual Salary:
$60,000
Responsibilities:
The Purchasing and Production Logistics Coordinator is responsible for purchasing, inventory control and
production logistics. Reporting to the Production Manager, this position coordinates with various
departments ensuring a timely response to customer orders.
Inventory Control
- Assure that perpetual inventory in Seredex is accurate by doing spot and cycle counts
- Entering of Inventory adjustments into Seredex from Variance and Damaged Goods forms
- Assuring that new inventory items are included within the Inventory listing.
- Assure that min/max inventory levels are appropriate for typical utilization of all items
- Lead the Year End inventory count with assistance from Finance
- Waste Management
- Maintain Item Master (Configurator) as required with Prod Manager and Engineering
- Issue rebuy POs for A level stock items
- Research supplier costs and options to determine highest cost saving while maintaining quality
- Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and establish relationships New Vendor set up
- Follow up on past due purchase orders
- Responsible for logistics on in bound freight and relay information to shipping/receiving as
- Rebuying of approved inventory items based upon min/max and order entry requirements.
- Obtaining purchase approval for new items or existing items with a variance to cost, spec or
- Purchasing new items identified by order entry that are not in stock (after initial order)
- Testing for approval of received raw materials before release to production (after initial order).
- Quarantine of defective raw materials, Contacting Supplier for resolution and notification of
purchasing and inventory control
- Independent, though able to work with various team members
- Strong Communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong ability to trouble shoot
- Excellent ERP and Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to learn new software quickly
- Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills required
- Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fastchanging environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Access.
- Experience with the accounting software specifically Seradex is considered an asset

- Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing needs and requirements
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods

- Lead a team of purchasing professionals to achieve departmental goals
Skills:
- Proficiency in sourcing, supply chain management, and vendor management
- Strong negotiation skills to obtain the best price and terms for purchases
- Experience with procurement systems to streamline purchasing processes
- Ability to fabricate foolproof procurement strategies that align with business objectives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong vendor relationships

$60,000.00 per year
