    Provides administrative assistance in distribution of products to Southwire customers

    Description of Duties and Responsibilities


    • Assists and provides answers to sales department inquiries with information concerning customer orders as it relates to area inventory, shipping and cutting schedules, tracing, and any other customer service questions.

    • Coordinates shipping schedules and investigates tracking of shipments for customers.

    • Monitors carrier freight claims for lost and damaged material and maintains applicable record keeping.

    • Assist with distribution load building and cutting functions as assigned.

    • Monitors area EDD and PDD customer order shipping requirements to meet/exceed established company service level objectives.

    • Monitors area inventory needs as it relates to restocking requirements for customer orders, identifying obsolete inventory and seek outlets for reduction.

    • Provides support to Warehouse Specialists for checking in the carrier drivers and ensuring that loads are ready to be shipped.

    • Acts as liaison between sales and service center to verify and provide applicable records for customer returns.

    • Become computer knowledgeable of SW terms, Customers, Distribution System.

    Qualifications and Experience Requirements


    • High school diploma, or equivalent, is required.

    • Bachelors or Associate degree or equivalent is desired.

    • Distribution program and load building experience required.

    • Excellent computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.

    • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven business acumen, exceptional interpersonal capabilities and possess a strong attention to detail.

    • Ability to function and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced operating environment is critical.

    • Must be able to interface and communicate effectively within the organization, with business units throughout the company, and with partners across the supply chain in a professional manner.

    • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing business environment.

    • Ability to operate efficiently in a team environment.
