Position:
Food Services Supervisor (Part-Time)

Reports to:
Food Services Manager

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Manager of Food Services, the Supervisor of the Food Services** is responsible for successfully opening and closing the Café, as well as assisting in all daily kitchen operations. The Supervisor will also oversee FOH and BOH kitchen clean up and work in compliance with the provisions of the OHSA and WHMIS. The Supervisor is responsible for accurately overseeing cash flow by monitoring proper record of transactions and performing overrides with the use of the Point of Sale System.

Additionally, due to the nature of our business we work when others play. Ripley's Aquarium of Canada LP is open 365 days of the year, this makes our company and industry fun and exciting, but it is something to consider. You will be expected to be regularly available to work any shift during the hours of operation.

Critical Accountabilities:

Monitor the vending machines to ensure they are operating correctly
Handle guest concern and ensure guest satisfaction throughout each shift
Oversee the floor operations and daily scheduling of breaks and rotations
Assist Food Service Associates with transactions on the POS as necessary
Verify Associates floats are accurate when necessary
Assist in opening/closing Ripley's Café ensuring cleanliness and maintenance are up to standard
Control inventory, ordering and maintenance of par levels for all FOH items
Follows and complies with all provincial regulations

Special Skills and Requirements:

Previous relevant experience required
Cash handling experience required
Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand/walk for majority of shift
Experience working with various food products and able to work in a fastpaced environment
Must be a team player and possess good communication skills
