Rate of Pay:
$ $23.07 per hour

Reporting to the Regional Manager - Distribution & Data Management, the Material Management Assistant is responsible for carrying out the daily operating functions of the Material Management Department including, but not limited to: Stores functions, Shipping/Receiving, Distribution, and Supply Top-Up.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Minimum Secondary School Graduation Diploma
Knowledge and experience in Material and inventory management
Preference will be given to those with knowledge of VIRTUO Materials Management software, receiving, shipping, top up processes and general knowledge of materials management operations in a hospital setting

Skills/Abilities:

Good communication, customer service, organization and mathematical skills required, with the ability to learn quickly in a high paced, productivity demanding position
Ability to multitask and prioritize is required
Must be physically fit, able to safely lift and transfer up to 50 lbs.
Intermediate level computer knowledge and experience required
Attention to detail a necessity
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Assets:

Experience with computerized inventory management, distribution and control an asset

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
