Description

Reporting to the Regional Projects and Construction Manager, the estimator will review plans, requirements, specifications and conditions related to tenders and fully understand the scope of work in terms of specific material and labor requirements and prepare estimates for multiple levels of cabinetry finishes for multi-residential, institutional and commercial construction projects.


Responsibilities

  • Review plans, requirements, specifications and conditions related to tenders and fully understand the scope of work in terms of specific material and labor requirements;
  • Prepare estimates for multiple levels of cabinetry finishes for multiresidential, institutional and commercial construction projects;
  • Coordinate subcontracting requests, requests for quotations and when necessary, provide suggestions for cost reduction and valueadded recommendations or options to stimulate sales and competitiveness and increase profit margin;
  • Ensure compliance of bids issued versus plans and specifications submitted by the designercuisinists;
  • Assist and collaborate with the sales team, project managers and clients in the various phases of the project;
  • All other related tasks.
  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Adobe is required. Knowledge of 2020 suite, Microvellum, or ERP software are strong assets;
  • Superior mathematical skills and a high degree of ingenuity and ability to address/solve client problems and project challenges as appropriate;
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and strong ability to work on multiple files simultaneously.
