Here's what you'll get to do:
- Lead strategy management process including planning, coordination and communication related to strategy development and the annual business planning cycle;
- Enable integrated project delivery by taking a systemsapproach to planning, decisionmaking, risk management and overall reporting for projects at THP;
- Oversee all elements of integrated project approach and plan development, as well as implementing all necessary processes and practices to ensure the hospital is delivering on project objectives and successfully achieving the project's goals;
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the governance structure established to oversee the project's deliverables;
- Support multidisciplinary project team through all phases of the project life cycle, providing coaching, motivation and guidance throughout the duration of projects;
- Support strategic plan and major projects performance and status reporting to all levels of the organization;
- Engage and communicate with stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood;
- Monitor and report on progress, problems and solutions of the project to all stakeholders and escalate issues as appropriate;
- Participate in the creation and delivery of innovative presentations and proposals to all levels of the organization, including senior management, Board of Directors and external audiences;
- Lead development of inhouse project management knowledge and best practices;
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including regional, provincial and/or private sector partners to ensure the successful completion of project deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required; business, life sciences, health informatics or related discipline preferred;
- Masters degree in public administration, business administration, healthcare administration or equivalent experience preferred;
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management in healthcare environments such as hospitals, government or private sector required;
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation an asset;
- Strong understanding of the hospital's strategic plan;
- Strong leadership, adaptability, interpersonal and collaboration skills are essential for this role, including the ability to build strong relationships;
- Experience with project management processes and best practices, as well as corporate level reporting;
- Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills;
- Demonstrated ability to multi task and prioritize tasks effectively;
