What You'll Be Doing

  • Reporting to the Senior Director, Client Acquisition, you will be managing and implementing the oneyear client acquisition plan for all consumer credit card products. Retail channels include CIBC Banking Centres, Contact Centres, and CIBC Mobile Specialists.
You will be responsible for leading key client acquisition and revenue enhancement strategies to maximize cardholder profitability and ensure CIBC remains competitive in the marketplace including:

managing & monitoring key business metrics (new credit card sales, approval rates, activation rates, and utilization rates), evaluating and sizing new credit card sales opportunities, and identifying opportunities within existing processes and systems for improvement and optimization.

You will work with high performing, highly productive and diverse teams to successfully implement programs that drive revenue growth while maintaining a strong focus on client experience.

  • How You'll Succeed


  • Strategic Planning

  • Lead the development and implementation of client acquisition strategies to achieve targets for all consumer credit card products. Identify and implement new opportunities for credit card client acquisition. Determine feasibility and financial impact while contributing to CIBC's client experience objectives. Optimize client acquisition tactics and marketing budget to ensure profitable return on investment.


  • Leadership

  • Manage and own final accountability for client acquisition Retail Channels strategic plan and initiatives for all consumer credit card products. Continuously monitor and interpret business results against key performance targets to recommend growth initiatives.


  • Relationship Management

  • Collaborate with key partner stakeholders to ensure alignment with the client acquisition strategies being implemented. Establish rapport and work effectively with internal and external partners including Retail Channels, Risk Management, Finance, Legal and Compliance, Sales Support, Marketing, Technology, other lines of businesses, and business partners.
