You are a Construction Coordinator with 5-10 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step, or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment.
Responsibilities of the
Construction Coordinator:
- Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects across various functional areas and engagements
- Assist Project Manager in managing vendor and service providers to help define project scope and performance expectations
- Work onsite to support construction and commissioning and provide clients with a high level of professionalism
- Maintain and monitor project plans and specifications, project schedule and compliance to scope
- Ensure the project adheres to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for the project
- Assist in the development of commissioning plans and executing commissioning
- Collaborate with relevant key stakeholders such as project team, client contractors, and vendors to ensure activities have been addressed and covered off
- Manage deadlines and ensure appropriate communication is provided to relevant parties when schedule conflicts ariseKey success factors for the role include the ability to work with others (both internal and external stakeholders), understand and optimize procurement processes, and implement continuous improvements to streamline processes.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in construction management on large construction or mining projects.
- Detailed understanding of single line drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs
- Strong passion for Health, Safety, and the Environment
- Experience with large, remote mining projects would be beneficial
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiating, project management, planning and organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Office including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
