Cavo Bar & Kitchen is seeking a Line Cook to join our team. This is a junior cook role requiring flexibility to cover shifts within regular operational hours.

This position requires evening and weekend availability as we are open 7 days per week from 10:00 am to 2:00 am.

Employment Details:

Wage:
$16.75 CAD per hour

Hours: 30-40 hours per week

Vacation: 4% in lieu of benefits

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
• Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Monitor food quality while preparing food.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
• Carry out all responsibilities in accordance with food safety and health and safety standards and requirements

Job Requirements:

• 7 months or more of related cooking experience
• Food Safety Certificate
• Graduation from secondary/high school
• Ability to communicate in English

Salary/Wage:

16.75 per hour
