About the job

Supervisor - Global Service for our Toronto, Ontario facility. This is a 12 month assignment.


As a leader on our operations team, you will oversee operational needs by providing effective management of a diverse group of employees.

You will be responsible for all areas of operations oversight, including but not limited to productivity, customer service, scheduling, training and development, health and safety, employee relations and troubleshooting.

As a member of the Global Services team, you will:

  • Administer the Brink's Global Services transportation management system
  • Ensure input of updated and accurate information, reporting, tracing and tracking shipments and providing a variety of costing analysis.
  • Oversee morning and evening vault operations, night time Airport operations and day time Operations throughout the BGS Network
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained
  • Make recommendations for disciplinary action
  • Promote safety awareness to the employees on an ongoing basis.
- 'Supervise airport operations which includes directing truck employees, communicating with branches from coast to coast and international affiliates.

  • Ensure procedures and processes are performed in accordance with security regulations
  • Liaise with Canada customs officers and customs brokers to ensure that all shipments meet rules and regulations.
  • Negotiate freight rates with major airlines and book and confirm freight allotments
  • Liaise with major customers in order to understand service requirements
  • Ensure receipts for all shipments and all vault documents are accurate and meet deadlines
  • Ensure vault opening and closing procedures are adhered to
  • Perform vault balancing procedures

Qualifications:


What we're looking for:

  • A degree/diploma from an accredited college or university or related experience, preferably in a logistics setting
  • Action oriented, able to maintain composure under pressure
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Able to manage conflicts, and make accurate logical decisions
  • Able to set targets, establish priorities and meet goals
  • Effectively train staff and truck employees as needed
  • Able to lift and handle multiple pieces weighing up to 35 lbs
  • Work effectively alone or in team scenarios
  • Must be able to work flex hours as required
  • A valid Possession and Acquisition License ("PAL") for both Restricted and nonRestricted,
