COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER, 211 MANITOBA - TERM POSITION

  • The Community Engagement Manager, 211 Manitoba has a key role within the 211 Manitoba team, providing leadership to 211 operations and primary support to the 211 Manitoba Director. This role requires someone to work at a high level, both independently and in a small team structure.

The person will focus on two primary areas:

  • 1. Operations
  • In this collaborative, team-focused role, you will work with the 211 Manitoba team to strengthen operations including database management, service and quality assurance, strategic planning, data and reporting, and policy development.
  • 2. Partnerships
  • With the 211 Manitoba Director, you will develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with service agencies and funders in support of the ongoing growth of the 211 Manitoba program.
  • Specifically, this position:
  • Work jointly with 211 Manitoba Director and other senior leaders in your department to create and implement a departmental operating plan that appropriately aligns with the organizational plans.
  • Support the 211 Manitoba Director by developing funding proposals and writing reports to funders.
  • Provide data to key stakeholders on specific projects.
  • Work with the 211 Manitoba Resources Manager and 211s across Canada on database certification and accreditation.
  • Give oversight to the 211 Manitoba website working with the database and web development teams.
  • Give oversight to the production of Seniors Guides, including updates, revisions, and distribution.
  • Work with Marketing and Communications team on ongoing outreach and support initiatives to create awareness of the 211 Manitoba program. Manage the inventory of 211 promotional materials.
  • Attend and manage outreach events including conferences, expos, and United Way Winnipeg events.
  • Ensure system navigators have needed information to provide referrals to 211 callers.
  • Support strategic initiatives through project management related to emergency management, community safety, accessibility, and older adults.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • You possess the following qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and related experience:
  • A bachelor degree in a related field; Masters in a related field is an asset
  • AIRS certification or a willingness to get certification is an asset
  • At least five years of experience working in the charitable sector, with knowledge of good practice standards in project management and staff management
  • Highlevel experience in management of data management and reporting
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with iCarol is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain both internal and external relationships
  • Leadership skills with proven ability to work independently and also be a strong team player supporting others
  • Excellent organizational skills, priority setting and time management skills, with particular attention to detail and followthrough
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to problem solve and resolve conflict
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
