We are currently seeking a HR Coordinator/Recruiter to join our growing team.

    As the HR Coordinator/Recruiter, you will work closely with all aspects within the Human Resources department with a focus on recruitment. This role is a great opportunity to utilize and develop your skills in a wide variety of Human Resource disciplines. The HR Coordinator is an integral part of the HR team with being involved with manufacturing recruitment, daily HRIS administration and user support, reporting and analytics, assisting payroll and benefits, employee onboarding, team member customer service and corporate culture. The successful candidate will make an impact in team members' experiences at Loewen through positive recruitment and onboarding practices, internal customer service, solution-based problem solving, a continuous improvement mindset and a desired for ongoing career development.

    In this role you will:

  • Support the full cycle recruitment efforts including posting jobs, application management, interviews, references, and pre-employment testing.
  • New hire onboarding preparation and facilitating orientation, new hire support, benefit meetings and training.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on departmental initiatives such as recruitment and retention strategies, employee engagement activities, cultural awareness in the workplace and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional service to team members as the first point of contact for inquiries about HRIS system, HR related processes and benefits.
  • Partner with other HR members in maintaining daily HRIS administration, employee records management, data integrity checks, research possible system improvements and troubleshooting, be a resource to users and assist with companywide system updates.
  • Prepare data analytics related to trends, HR metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Other opportunities include attending career fairs, conducting research and drafting HR materials and employee relations.
  • You will bring:

  • Completed or currently enrolled in post-secondary education in the field of Human Resources.
  • Education or experience in Business Administration or Accounting an asset.
  • Experience with entry level recruitment or recruitment in a manufacturing setting considered an asset.
  • Prior experience in HRIS maintenance, and data analytics is preferred. UKG, Ultirpro, Kronos or similar systems experience is an asset.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office (specifically an intermediate level with Excel)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Effective in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proven communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic.
  • Comfortable with public speaking, networking, facilitating training and presentations.
