The Endpoint Operations Technician is responsible for the deployment and maintenance of software packages using standardized practices utilizing all resources available.

The incumbent will provide support for incident resolution and request fulfilment that is customer focused and is aligned with ITSM and ITIL best practices.


Responsibilities:


  • Responding in a timely and professional manner to meet the software requirements in academic delivery
  • Deploying software images for all enterprisewide computing resources utilizing various software maintenance tools
  • Ensuring software packages are updated in coordination with academic requests accommodating service delivery schedules
  • Deploying hardware and software updates for faculty and staff as part of the overall upgrade cycle for computer lab refresh
  • Coordinating with software vendors & external resources in the resolution of various software anomalies
  • Updating documentation and webresources regularly to ensure accurate software representation
  • Assisting in corrective measures during network integrity breach events
  • Adhering to all security best practices for operational support and privileged access rights
  • Travelling to various locations as required

Qualifications:


  • Twoyear Diploma in Electronics, Technology, or an Information Technology field
  • Minimum two years of experience supporting and deploying software utilizing Microsoft endpoint technologies
  • Well developed analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills to identify problems, determine possible solutions, and select the appropriate action
  • Good communications and public relations skills
  • Experience with industrial automation software installation and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good planning and organizational skills to establish and adjust priorities
  • Ability to travel to various campus locations is required
