The Headlines:


  • In the role of the Brewing Area Manager
  • Toronto Brewery, you will be responsible for the leadership of the plant and people resources within the Brewing Department on a day to day basis, to ensure the achievement of the Brewery's vision and business plan.
  • You will lead Brewing operations towards the vision of a highperformance team culture and drive change management initiatives to continually improve process operations to meet World Class Operations Standards. You will lead your team in developing short term tactics and contribute to the Brewing department's strategy over a 13 year time horizon.
  • The role requires operations leadership experience and a solid working understanding of the brewery processes, good asset care practices, and project management.
    The Responsibilities

  • Leads and motivates the Brewing operational team for effective operation, quality, asset care, and optimization work of the Brewing Department
  • Utilizes World Class Supply Chain initiatives and work practices to identify and eliminate top losses in the Brewing Department.
  • Responsible for budget and cost management of the Brewing Department.
  • Builds and develops a team of employees in the areas of technical and leadership development. Responsible for a team of direct reports (Brewing Line Leads and Brewing Team Leaders) and a team of indirect reports (Brewing Operators and Brewing Trades).
  • Ensures the on time and on budget execution of innovation launches for the Brewing Department.
  • Lead communications with customers including commercial team, brewery management team, vendors, contractors, and MCBC senior leaderships
  • Facilitating inventories and tracking the brewing material to ensure good FIFO
  • Overseeing the material ordering/receiving processes

The Other Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 10 years leadership experience in a manufacturing facility. Brewery leadership experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact within both customers and senior leadership
  • Ability to develop, maintain and grow solid client relationships
