Job Title:

Inventory and Logistics Coordinator


Department:

Leduc Manufacturing


Reports to:

Logistics Manager


Position Summary:

The Inventory & Logistics Coordinator performs shipping/receiving tasks as well as manages the documentation and movement of inventory. Duties include order pickups and deliveries, material picks, material receipts, and material usage documentation. Housekeeping and yard maintenance are also components of this position.


Work Schedule:

This position may involve various shifts and overtime hours depending on the scope of work


Duties:


  • Handle materials within the shop and outdoors as required
  • Moving materials in and out of the shop using overhead hoist and forklift
  • Perform deliveries and pickups using company vehicles
  • Documenting material movements as required
  • Assisting with interfacility material movements
  • Assist in inventory counts as required
  • Assist in loading/unloading of pipe deliveries/pickups
  • Stacking/unstacking pipe adhering to strict procedures
  • Perform work safely and follow established work procedures
  • General shop and yard cleaning
  • Adhere to health, safety and quality policies, as well as all company policies and procedures
  • Ensure work areas and clean and organized
  • Participate in training and safety meetings
  • Other duties as required

Competencies

  • Able to meet deadlines and do so safely
  • Mechanically inclined, ability to use small hand tools and/or power tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Competency using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to follow and understand both oral and written instructions in English
  • Grade 12 basic math skills

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Grade 12 or GED additional education past high school would be an asset
  • Manufacturing and forklift/overhead crane training or experience an asset
  • Good physical fitness
  • Stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate materials
  • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs, lift items weighing more than 50 lbs with assistance from other workers, forklift and/or overhead hoist
