Sons of Concrete Inc. is looking to expand the team by hiring a Concrete Foreman / Finisher.This job includes overseeing site productivity & working alongside concrete form workers, finishers, & laborers to ensure that work is completed as per project and company standards.
Qualifications
Formwork Foreman: 5+ years (preferred)
Finishing Foreman: 5+ years (preferred)
Able to operate concrete forming crane truck (preferred)
Ontario Building Code knowledge (preferred)
Driver's license and reliable vehicle (mandatory)
- Ability to correctly interpret blueprints/drawings/specs, follow instructions and work independently, as well as lead a team of laborers.
- Concrete Finishing completed with company owned hand tools and power trowels including rideon power trowels
- Decorative concrete work including stamp and exposed aggregate
- A good eye and skill for grades, elevations and levels
- Concrete Form Setting (carpentry) for concrete flatwork and occasionally concrete walls
- Provide all necessary expansion joints
Projects involve (but are not limited to): concrete floor and flatwork including machine finished floors, large agricultural slabs, driveways and decorative work.
Job Types:
Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 9 months
Salary:
$24.00-$34.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Walkerton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- construction: 1 year (preferred)
