Denford Construction Management has a great opportunity for a
Carpenter in Nanaimo, BC. The carpenter provides support to a wide range of construction projects from start to finish.
The carpenter will perform a variety of skilled related tasks as assigned by the supervisor. They will assist with concrete forming, framing, and finishing as well as site clean up and site organization. The carpenter will ensure that they follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
Schedule:
This position is Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Pay:
Starting wage is
$30.00 per hour with the range extending to
$40.00 per hour. Wage will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
Duties:
- Perform a variety of skilled labor tasks as assigned by the supervisor
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of various equipment and structures
- Operate power tools and machinery safely and efficiently
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Maintain site cleanliness and site organization
Qualifications & Experience:
- Wellrounded carpentry experience is a must
- Experience in concrete forming
- Experience in structural framing and finishing
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- First aid certification would be an asset
- WHMIS certification would be an asset
Job Summary:

$30.00-$40.00 per hour
