    JOB DESCRIPTION:CHEF DE PARTIE

    The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company is a craft brewery and brewpub located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Situated in the town of Canmore, the Grizzly Paw Pub & Brewing Company has been in operation since 1996. The Grizzly Paw serves up delicious traditional fare such as handmade burgers, salads, fish and chips, and a smoked brisket sandwich that's to die for.

    We are looking for an outgoing and knowledgeable leader who is willing to learn and ready to provide our customers with memorable experiences

    KEY TASKS:

    • Lead the team in preparation of the necessary food items in accordance with standards in a timely and efficient fashion to ensure that there is no interruption to guest service
    • Work closely with Front of House colleagues ensuring a seamless service
    • Actively participates in training of culinary skills to junior staff and apprentices
    • Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications to maintain standards
    • Ensures that station opening and closing procedures are to standard
    • Ensures proper rotation, labeling, and storage of food to minimize waste
    • Operate all kitchen equipment, conduct themselves with safety in mind at all times
    • Ensures that all food products are handled, stored, prepared and served safely in accordance with Food Safety guidelines.
    • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of his/her station
    • Prepares lists of food products required for station for Sous Chef order and approval
    • Provide guidance, motivation, coach, develop and manage performance.
    • Maintain proper audit track records, follow company policies & procedures
    • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all supporting departments
    • Follow health, safety, prevention and sanitation guidelines at all time
    • Consider the environmental impact in all decisions
    • Other duties and projects as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum 2 years cooking experience, experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment with similar style and standards
    • Red Seal Certificate or Recognized International Equivalent an asset
    • Valid Food Handler Certificate required
    • Must have experience and be proficient in both a la carte and production cooking
    • Previous supervisory experience is an asset for the successful candidate
