The purpose of this job is to provide all aspects of database administration provide technical guidance and support to junior (L1) database administrators (when applicable) and vulnerability remediation would be the primary task._
This position will also handle escalated incidents and perform root cause analysis of any problems that may arise out of IRs and/or proactive needs for business._

Responsibilities_

- _The main responsibilities include: vulnerability remediation which would be the primary task_
- _Should work on configuration, implementation, support of Oracle Database Production servers and technical guidance of junior team members_
- _Understand business requirements and design solutions accordingly_
- _Ensure quality standards in release implementation especially in DML/DCL/DDL & Data Fixes of any form_
- _Resolve incidents, escalate to CACIB management and Oracle Vendor as necessary_
- _Create SOPs_
- _Perform root cause analysis for P1/P2/P3 and P4 incidents and/or proactively based on business needs_
- _Work with the Genpact, CACIB or 3rd party teams for the implementation of changes_
- _Follow the required policies and procedures for the incident, problem and change management_
- _Ensure service performance expectations are met with service levels and quality_
- _Raise/escalate any service related issues and risks to track lead and/or ITS lead_
- _Technical guidance of junior team members (when applicable)_

Qualifications we seek in you_
Minimum Qualifications_

- _Graduate or post graduate in Technology with Computers or IT stream_

- _Graduate or post graduate in any stream with course in Computers or IT stream_

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills_

- _Knowledgeable about the Oracle; Sybase and SQL Database architecture_
- _Hands-on experience with Oracle 12c installation, configuration and disaster recovery procedures_
- _Worked on multiple Oracle Databases releases_
- _Perform DB refreshes_
- _Perform DB installs and refreshes_
- _Knowledge of shell scripts_
- _UNIX

Solaris/Linux all current releases_

- _Database user creation_
- _Hands on with RMAN backup recovery_
- _Adding of datafiles and space management_
- _Well versed with Index and Reorganization of database objects_
- _Well versed with audit concepts_
- _Analysis and implementation of CPU patching on production system independently_
- _Understanding of database concept as a SME and ability to provide solutions_
- _Good Understanding of OPatch concepts_
- _Well versed with performance & tuning of databases_
- _Exposure of database recovery scenarios_
- _Experience of database upgrades_
- _Good understanding of RMAN, ADDM and ASH reports_
- _Sound experience of Database export/import functions_
- _Experience of database character set conversion_
- _Knowledge of Database monitoring tools_
- _Must have very good trouble shooting and analytical skills_
- _Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)_
- _High energy, results driven person with strong interpersonal skills_
- _Ability to work under mínimal supervision_
- _Capital Markets Domain knowledge is preferred_
- _Knowledge of ITIL, integration across IPC (Incident, Problem & Change Management)_
- _Sound knowledge of Oracle v12 Database ( PDB & CDB)_
- _Knowledge of Oracle Apps R12.2will be a plus_
