HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (Exempt)
Full-Time Continuing Position
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this challenging management position plays a key role on the Human Resources team.
Responsibilities include supporting the District Principal of Human Resources and the Director of Human Resources with staffing and recruitment of teaching staff, including external and internal hiring processes and leave management.
This position supports school administrators and managers in ensuring accurate staff data, database management and tracking of centralized staff.
The successful applicant will have a diploma in Human Resources Management; and a minimum of three years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a multi-site unionized setting including excellent knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation, regulations, and guidelines; and possess excellent interpersonal skills including tact and diplomacy, problem solving, sound judgment, and the ability to build effective relationships.
The successful applicant will have strong analytical skills, organizational skills, strong communication skills, excellent computer skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
This position may include travel.Experience in the public sector and a current CPHR designation would be an asset.
