    Accountabilities:

    • Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient's diagnosis and/or treatment
    • Facilitate the provision of optimal patient care, observing and understanding hospital and departmental policies and procedures
    • Adhere to hospital mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
    • Provide radiologists with high quality imaging, accurate and complete preliminary technical impression, discussing ultrasound findings with the Radiologist when necessary
    • Perform other duties related to the job classification as required
    Qualifications
    • Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology
    • ARDMS (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics and gynecology with preference given to those who are also RVT (CRVS) or eligibility for registration with ARDMS (CRGS) within six months of the date of hire
    • Recent experience in related area of responsibility required
    • Able to perform breast imaging is an asset
    • Experience in general abdominal, obstetrics and gynecology, paediatric, vascular and musculoskeletal an asset
    • Experience in ultrasound special procedures i.e. biopsies, an asset
    • FMF NT certification an asset
    • Membership with Sonography Canada an asset
    • Proven skill in the production of high-quality ultrasound images
    • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
    Additional Information

    Hours: Currently days/evenings/nights, eight hour shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

    Fully Onsite: Roles involved in direct patient care that are needed onsite for each shift.
