The Opportunity:

We are recruiting for a
MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN (Children's Services)

_ There are two opportunities available:_
-
_One contract __full-time opportunity (35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with evening hours as needed until December 31, 2023) based at 485 Silvercreek Parkway N. Guelph providing brief services.

_Once contract part-time opportunity (28 hours per week between the hours of Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with evening hours as needed until June 30, 2023) based at 485 Silvercreek Parkway N. Guelph providing ongoing services._

Qualifications:

  • Masters level degree in psychology, social work or relevant health or social science field
  • Registration with relevant college/registering body
  • Three or more years of related experience working with children/youth with mental health/addictions issues
  • Welldeveloped assessment, intervention and support skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and also independently
  • Knowledge of a broad range of mental health, addiction and concurrent issues
  • Knowledge of our system's mental health and addiction supports and resources
  • Knowledge and understanding or previous DBT training in individual and group.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences and Trauma Informed Practices
  • Knowledge or training in Attachment Theory
  • Good organizational, communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated sound clinical and practical judgement
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a busy interdisciplinary setting and with formal and informal community resources
  • Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to social and cultural diversity
  • Welldeveloped knowledge base of the various service systems within the catchment area
  • Demonstrated belief in the values and philosophy of CMHA WW
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook and various data base software
  • A valid driver's license, vehicle and insurance, as travel is required

CLASSIFICATION AND RATE OF PAY:
Level 6 (OPSEU) - $34.28 TO $41.78 per hour
