About the Role

We are seeking an experienced BIM/VDC Specialist to help showcase and champion BIM/VDC in either of our Calgary or Edmonton Building group locations.

The BIM/VDC Specialist will support the Pre-construction and construction process through the implementation and usage of BIM/VDC technology on a wide range of Buildings construction projects.

As a BIM/VDC Specialist at Graham, you will:

Responsible for preparing and producing presentation quality models and renderings
Revise and update BIM/VDC models
Connect BIM/VDC models to project schedules
Validate submitted consultant and trade 3D models and documents.
Work with our project systems staff using clash avoidance/detection techniques
Prepare quantity take offs

Qualifications/Experience:

University degree or completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school; Degree in Building Technology, Engineering, Architecture, or Construction is preferred
Autodesk certification, CANBIM certification, construction association certification and Dropne Certification are all assets
5 plus years of relevant experience required
Construction experience and a willingness to learn
Expertlevel working knowledge of BIM/VDC software, including Revit and Navisworks.
Experience with VPlanner, InEight, AutoDesk Construction Cloud, BIM360, Open Space, Syncro is considered an asset
Must have experience in the ability to translate 2D drawings and specifications into a complete 3D/4D/5D/6D BIM
Understanding of current construction practices including; knowledge of the various components that are part of each stage
Ability to read schedules and understand the scope
Experience working with the following contract delivery methods are considered at asset: Design-Build, P3 & CM
