Urban Planner Position

Located in downtown Toronto, we invite applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The School of Urban and Regional Planning (SURP) is committed to creating more sustainable and equitable communities.

The successful candidate will engage in teaching, scholarly research or creative activity, and service duties while maintaining an inclusive work environment. Teaching duties include core courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, supervision of students, curriculum development, Feasibility Analysis of Development, Municipal Finance, Real Estate/Housing courses. We expect innovative research programs externally funded with cutting-edge results.

Required Skills:

• A doctoral degree in Planning or closely related field by appointment date;
• Potential for teaching excellence as evidenced by experience with course review; examples of best practices in pedagogy including classroom technology use; sample syllabi; strong evaluations; awards;
