    Bilingual Daycare Educator (Full Time, Part Time, Substitution/Supply)

    NOTE: Applicants must live in Ottawa or the immediate Ottawa area

    Working with a team of Daycare Educators, within the city's top private school, the successful candidate will be required to:
    • Interact and engage with, facilitate lessons and activities amongst, and ensure the safety of our daycare students within St-Laurent Academy's "infant", "toddler" to "preschool" classrooms.
    • Ensure that daily routines are followed with the utmost care and attention to detail, including preparing and serving snacks and lunches (in conjunction with our school kitchen), facilitating regular washroom and sanitation practices (toileting is required), supervising recess and play times, monitoring consistent nap times, and facilitating safe drop off and pick up.
    • Communicate daily with parents - includes greeting families and students each morning and sending them off with care
    • Communicate and plan, daily, with the daycare supervisor, other educators, the school Nurse, and at times, the Elementary School.
    • Follow essential safety protocols on a daily basis, including completing routine checklists and sign-offs.
    • Attend and supervise student field trips (library, RA Centre, city parks, family farms, etc.)

    To be considered for this role, on our team, you must:
    • Be a qualified Early Childhood Educator (ECE), Educational Assistant (EA), and/or equivalent experience working with children of this age group.
    • Hold and up-to-date "Standard First Aid & CPR C" certification.
    • Provide a clear Criminal Record Check/ Vulnerable Sector.
    • Provide a proof of a clear TB (Tuberculosis) Test.
    • Have experience working with/within early childhood programs.
    • Be a good communicator and team player.
    • Bilingual: French & English.
    • Have a desire to engage and help each child develop and grow socially, emotionally, behaviourally, and to an extent, academically - this includes having fun
    • Be responsible and reliable.
    • Able to complete an 8 hour day, between our school's "flexible work hours/ work schedule" of 7:00am - 5:30pm.
    • Able to work with the team Monday to Friday.
