What you'll do:

Eaton is currently looking for an Intern - Product Specialist for 6 to 12-month at out Winnipeg Satellite facility.


The Eaton Satellite locations (6 in total) are located across Canada and comprise of smaller assemble-to-order facilities and complement our medium to large manufacturing facilities within Canada.


Primary Function:


Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Product Specialist is responsible for processing orders and engineering of our panelboard products up to 600V to meet customer expectations.

This includes responsibility for pricing, order entry, custom order engineering, customer service, quality and manufacturing of panelboards.


Essential Functions:


  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Maintain pricing authority for field sales and distributors.
  • Manages the administration of orders, production planning and scheduling including maintaining inventory availability for the assembly of products.
  • Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Philosophy and Values, Code of Ethics, as well as Safety and Environmental standards and commitment to safety and cost improvement.
  • Perform other duties, as required.

Qualifications:


Basic Qualifications:


  • Enrolled and Returning to a postsecondary program.
  • Engineering or Technologist Degree / Diploma in progress (Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering)
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position does not offer relocation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or coop experience.
years of experience in manufacturing electrical controls and/or power distribution products.

  • Strong analytic skills using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
