Profile:


The Obsolescence Analyst Intern reports to the Manager, Obsolescence while collaborating with internal departments such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Aftermarket/Customer Support.

The Obsolescence Analyst Intern actively participates in project meetings and supports the Project Managers with ongoing obsolescence project tasks, while managing an independent strategic obsolescence analysis project.

This is a 4-month Summer Intern Position at De Havilland Aircraft Canada.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Analyze obsolete aircraft part data to identify trends, patterns, and insights to facilitate informed decisionmaking and strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain Obsolescence Team's company intranet website ensuring accuracy and accessibility of content and managing regular updates.
  • Utilize project management skills to coordinate tasks, track and report progress, and ensure timely followup on actions.
  • Always represent De Havilland in a professional and courteous manner in every communication with all internal and external stakeholders.

Education & Experience:


  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Sciences (Computer, Math, Physics), Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A combination of education and experience in aerospace, project management and/or manufacturing would be considered an asset.

Skills:


  • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI or other business intelligence suites is considered and asset.
  • Proficiency in SQL or other database management systems (DBMS) is considered an asset.
  • Experience managing projects or working in a collaborative project team required.
  • Team oriented and works well in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to manage and act on multiple projects and priorities at one time.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Metricsfocused.
  • Critical thinker who can navigate complex, unclear tasks and deliver valuable outputs.
