    TheDailyStakes is an exciting sports media and service start-up. We create content to educate our community of bettors to make smarter and more informed sports betting decisions. The sports betting and fantasy sports space is growing massively ($170B in the US and $25B in Canada ). It is severely under-served from a product and content perspective. Our team has the talent, domain expertise and passion to dominate the space.

    Our startup has started to turn heads and we need a Software Developer/Technical Lead to join our growing team.

    The Role:

    Leading product creation, growth and development along with:

  • Developing the product roadmap
  • Bringing our MVP to life by developing the backend of our prototype
  • Creating and managing development time
  • Working closely with the founders to improve our services

    Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced software engineer and hands-on developer, familiar with modern tech stacks
  • Proven ability to produce code that solves complex scalability, business and integration problems
  • Proven ability to set a product vision and roadmap
  • Experience with recommendation systems and algorithms
  • Communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ideally lives in Montreal / East Coast but not a requirement
  • AI and Machine Learning
  • Experience working in a start up environment
  • Preferably with an understanding of sports betting and/or fantasy sports

    Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of development experience
  • Experience in a data and analytics driven environment
  • Creativity, ingenuity.
