Overview

As our Temporary Recreation Camp Supervisor, you will help oversee our amazing team of summer camp staff and deliver training to ensure we're offering the highest quality camp experience for participants.

You have a special place in your heart for children with exceptionalities and will promote inclusivity for all participants.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of all summer recreation camp programs.
  • Direct supervision of summer camp operations including participant experience, parent liaison and staffing.
  • Training, scheduling, monitoring, and evaluation of camp staff.
  • Ensure adherence to City of Woodstock Policies and Procedures.
  • Booking and planning activities, trip and bus schedules, maintaining equipment rooms.
  • Documenting and updating manuals, procedures, policies, forms, etc.
  • Is qualified to complete HIGH FIVE's Quest 2 evaluations.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum of attending University or college in related field and must be returning to school full-time
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and be physically able to perform duties
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Principles of Healthy Child Development
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Safeguard Certification
  • Must have a Class G2 Ontario Driver's License in good standing and access to a reliable vehicle

  • Salary rate is $22.00 per hour
  • Scheduled 40hour work week, which may include weekends and alternate shift hours.
  • Will be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • May be required to work overtime.
