- Perform operational problem solving and identify / implement continuous improvements to the process
- Provide Technical support to employees, processes, products and equipment employed within the division on a day-to -day basis
- Ensure effective communication with Supervisors and Technical Team Members. Ensure that a "hand-off" occurs with off shifts to ensure that communication between shifts is effective
- Participate in continuous improvement team meetings to review and resolve quality, service, operations, facilities, human resources and health and safety issues, when required
- Participate in training and development of new members of the Manufacturing Technician team.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Adheres to Stackpole's policies and procedures
- Adheres and supports Stackpole's Safety and Environmental policies and practices
- Ensure the requirements of the Quality Management System, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 are conformed to
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have an Ontario Trade Certificate as a Tool & Die Maker and have at least three years relevant work experience in a manufacturing facility
- Experience with powder metal tooling preferred.
- Must be a reliable, mature individual with a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Team player with the ability to work with others in a team based environment;
- Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
- Manufacturing environment with limited climate control
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
