JOB SUMMARY:
As a Procurement Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the procurement process for both inventory and non-inventory items.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and prepare all Inventory and Noninventory related purchase orders, ensuring timely communication with vendors and obtaining necessary authorizations.
- Receive and review purchase requests from crossfunctional teams, creating purchase orders with meticulous attention to detail.
- Follow up on outstanding orders, expediting backorders, managing damaged items, handling credit items, and addressing late deliveries.
- Monitor open purchase orders' expected delivery dates, keeping information in the system uptodate through proactive communication with Requisitioners and suppliers.
- Proactively resolve supplierrelated issues, including quality defects, shipment delays, and invoice discrepancies, by collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Work with Operations and suppliers to address and resolve nonconformance issues promptly.
- Assist in maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers.
- Maintain the Vendor database, including records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information, and communicate critical changes to vendor accounts.
- Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels to prevent shortages or surplus stock.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels, reporting variances on a weekly basis.
- Assist in the upkeep of Supplier records in the company's Quality Management System.
- Collaborate closely with operations on all production orders.
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor's degree in business/administration or supply chain.
- 1 to 3 years' experience in a similar role, within Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain.
Skills
- Advanced skills in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in using purchasing software and other ERP systems for effective procurement management.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to interpret and leverage data for informed decisionmaking.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Detailoriented mindset with exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
