**Job Summary: **Vale has a great opportunity available for an experienced Metal Manufacturing Machine Operator to be a part of our
production team. Vale Industries is a fast-paced, collaborative environment with lots of opportunity for personal and

**Duties and Responsibilities: - Read documents, computer screens, blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout
- and procedures

Operate and set up shop equipment as required including saws, iron worker, drills, CNC plasma, CNC brake,

- hydraulic press, and other machines as required

Able to lift 2050 pounds
Produce components and assemblies as per specified requirements
Perform general preventative maintenance of fab equipment
Perform quality inspections; document actions by completing production and quality forms
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
Maintain quality objectives and verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results as needed
Work shift hours when required

**Education and Qualifications: - Proven experience as a machine operator

WHMIS training an asset
High School diploma or equivalent
Manufacturing experience in an agricultural or aggregate & mining environment an asset
Experienced with a variety of hand tools such as grinders, calipers, saws, etc.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and other drawings
Must have outstanding punctuality and attendance
Ability to work according to production schedules and deadlines; willing to work shifts when required
Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills as well as the flexibility to handle changing

- demands and work effectively in a diverse environment

Able to work independently or as part of a team in a busy environment/able to work under pressure
Must be able to interact with coworkers in a sensitive, tactful, diplomatic, and professional manner at all times

**Knowledge Areas and Experience: - Ability to accurately measure and produce metal components

Overhead crane and forklift training an asset
Experience rigging and safe handling of components
Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures
