Assistant Technical - Audit Team

Salary Range:
$53,110 - $66,389

Location: 395 Chrysler Dr., Brampton, ON

Hours of work: 35 hours per week


Reporting to the Program Manager, Policy Research and Business Strategies, you will assist with organizing and preparing waste composition data for the Waste planning team.


What you will do in this role:

  • Records, organizes and maintains material composition, operational data and maintenance agreements
  • Prepares written communication in relation to material composition audits (garbage & orgainics)
  • Scheduling for material composition audits and vehicle inspections
  • Maintains waste composition data for recycling, garbage and organics
  • Assists with the safe management of household hazardous waste
  • Provides technical support related to waste composition data
  • Prepares and presents findings on the Region of Peel's Waste Management Programs

What this role requires:


  • Successful completion of a postsecondary degree (an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered)
  • Knowledge of basic weighscale operations and weight calculations
  • Previous experience conducting waste audits
  • Knowledge of general Waste Management operations and terminology
  • Possess a valid class "G" license in Ontario
  • Able to provide CSA approved safety footwear
