The individual must possess a broad scope of the role he/she plays in ensuring the on-going success of the business, team and accounts under his/her direct influence, and be willing to conduct service business in a professional manner that reflects team member investment, commitment, accountability and "ownership" over the customer base and the business itself.
Description of Service Technician Duties:

- Provide polite, professional and responsive service to customers.
- Continually searches for and identifies opportunities for addon servicerelated revenue to grow and expand the District Service business, such as; upgrades, modifications, service contracts, parts sales and new equipment sales.
- Ensure good quality of work is performed on service repairs, upgrades and preventative maintenance.
- Service processes, procedures and protocols are detailed, thorough and in compliance
- Views role from a broad perspective, ensuring that daytoday operations continually contribute to overall performance, customer experience and company/department initiatives and goals
- Perform emergency service, diagnose and repair, preventative/planned maintenance, operation/maintenance instruction and upgrades on automatic, manual and revolver doors, both on company and competitor products.
- Actively engaged in recommending improvements (upgrades and modifications) to customers to correct and/or improve product performance, functionality and safety. Provide quotes on replacement of wearable parts and failed safety checks while performing planned maintenance.
- Maintain proper truck stock and inventory to support territory and First Time Fix KPI.
- Maintain company vehicle both in appearance [interior and exterior] and adhering to vehicle maintenance schedule.
- Maintain clean, neat personal appearance in accordance to company Appearance Policy and representing our brand in a professional manner.
- Label equipment and completed door assignments with approved company logo decals.
- Maintain accurate, detailed and responsiveness to all administrative accountabilities, such as; time recording, expense reports, service reports, customer record updates, completion of checklist, checkin and out on IVR etc.
- Interface with customer, enduser and general contractor in a courteous professional manner at all times.
- Participate in training programs offered and remain AAADM certified.
- Perform all work in a safe manner for prevention of accidents to themselves, coworkers, and enduser onsite and the general public and property of all concerned.
- Wear and maintain any/all Personal Protection Equipment when necessary.
- Assist in any/all inventories as directed.
- Maintains vehicle inventory for installation tools and supplies.
- Maintains vehicle cleanliness and organization at all times.
- Effectively communicated with clients regarding arriving to site, checkingin, service update, returning to restore equipment and checkingout. This includes IVR, paperwork and customer special request.
- Ensures that the client relationship is held as priority and all client questions and concern are answered to their satisfaction.
- Maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs and tests various types of electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and related devices supporting automatic and manual doors.
- Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in order to put equipment in operational condition and solve complex problems.
- Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Description
of Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong electromechanical aptitude.
- AAADM Certification preferred.
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate both written and orally in the English language.
