Description:

This position is a part of the Non-Academic Staff Association (NASA).

This is an 8 month recurring term position for August 16 to April 30 annually, with an inactive period occurring between May through mid-August of each year. Please note that the annual salary will be pro-rated to reflect this. Hours of work may include some evenings and weekends.**This posting will be used to fill 2 vacancies in the Dining Hall and Café, Augustana Campus.

Department/Faculty Summary

The Food Service Department at Augustana provides all meals for students living in on-campus housing as well as walk-in customers, retail site and catering.

Preparing healthy, well-balanced meals that meet client's needs and expectations.

Position Summary

Working in the Dining Hall or Cafe the cooks are responsible to prep & prepare a high quality service that meets the needs of our customers.

Working to provide a full range of daily meals, meeting special diet requirements and offering a high level of customer services.

Able to embrace culinary diversity and be open to adaptation.

Duties

Providing customers with high level customer service and meals
Follows Safe Food Guidelines in the preparation of meals according to set recipes & menus
Be flexible and adaptable to special dietary requirements
