Job Summary:


Under the supervision of the Health Services Research Platform Lead, the Research Associate is responsible for the creation of a global cancer health services research five-year plan.

The plan will include 1) a comprehensive summary of the global cancer burden, 2) our research focus and research questions (e.g., HPV vaccination (prevention), oral cancer examinations (screening), access to surgery, systemic therapy, and radiotherapy (treatment), and/or patient quality of life (navigation), 3) critical in-country stakeholders and local cancer control partners, 4) funding sources, 5) concrete next steps, goals, and milestones.

The Research Associate will then start to operationalize the first research project.


Qualifications:


_Required:
_
_ _**- Graduate degree in health, social, or behavioural sciences or equivalent education and experience

  • Global health and population health background
  • Minimum 5years of research experience
  • Experience developing research plans
  • Familiarity with administrative and clinical databases
  • Satisfactory employment record
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada

  • Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • Ability to work independently and able to follow detailed protocols with mínimal supervision
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Strong problemsolving skills
