The Role
***The

Quality Assurance Lead Hand will be responsible for leading QA initiatives on a variety of different QA related activities. You will play a key role in managing and facilitating the QA testing process and be responsible for the acceptance testing, development of detailed test plans and the development of test use cases.

Your Impact
- **Food Safety*****:

Ensure that all food safety and lead manufacturing practices are followed. Trains and educates production personnel in food safety.
Assists line QC techs on major quality issues, communicating with production supervisors and assist them in making quick decisions.

Sampling Products

Verify QC records, ensure records are completed correctly and signed. Training new QC techs on individual packing and processing line for food safety & quality testing

Quick Decision Making
***:

Assist in Audit preparation. Audit production lines to ensure food safety and GMPs are followed (by QS Score card). Sampling for micro testing.

Line Checking

Monitors processing and packing lines to ensure product is in compliance with all the required regulatory requirements, customers, internal company specifications.

Training
***:

Provides annual classroom Allergen/Food Safety/HACCP/SAF training for all production and warehouse personnel. CPP Training for all technicians and production operators.
CDC first level signoff. Quality & production records signoff

Lab Analysis

Responsible for Lab analysis: Aflatoxin testing, Free Fatty Acid testing and inhouse salmonella testing.
Reviews labels for accurate i.e., declaration & compliance to regulations.
Investigates customers complaints, communicates inspection results finds root of problem.

Plant Trials
***:

New product development involved in new product development. Submitting samples to customers
Prepares documentation for all processes.

Sampling Products

Verify AC records, ensures records are completed correctly.
Works safely and follows legislated and established safe work procedures and practices.

Other duties as assigned in adherence to the JVF GMP policies.

Shift and Location

Monday to Friday, full time permanent position with opportunity for occasional overtime.
This role will be onsite and will be based out of our facility at 555 Steeprock Drive, North York

About You

You have 1 to 3 years of as a Quality Assurance Lead Hand, preferably in the food industry.
You have superior communication skills (both written and verbal) and proven experience interacting directly with customers and suppliers/vendors.
Solid working knowledge of food safety and quality assurance.
Genuine passion for continuous learning and development
Excellent collaboration, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to think strategically, analyze data, and make datadriven decisions.
University degree or College Diploma in Quality Assurance or in a related field.
