Manager, Client Services - Wraparound and Community Services

Lumenus is hiring a
Manager for our Community Based Mental Health programs to provide leadership to our Studio, 2SLGBTQ+ Outreach Worker, Young Parents with No Fixed Address Coordinator and Wraparound.


You will provide oversight for staff working in community based mental health services working with children, youth and families within community, home and office settings.

You will provide strong clinical skills and demonstrated knowledge of culturally responsive mental health service delivery and engagement methods.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in the visioning, creation and implementation of an integrated and accessible service across Lumenus, including various communities of practice;
  • Provide supervisory oversight of staff, including daytoday service delivery, professional development, and performance management, while maintaining the values and vision of Lumenus;
  • Support staff in understanding clinical issues impacting clients with challenging needs, and the development of formulations which inform service direction;
  • Ensure staff participate in the development and evaluation of accessible services for diverse children, youth and their families, while considering the social determinants of health and experiences of systemic oppression;
  • Promote and strengthen collaborative service from an evidence informed (based), interdisciplinary, and outcome driven perspective;
  • Provide direction and oversight of staff activities related to advocacy and system navigation;
  • Ensure that services are delivered in a flexible and adaptive manner including the delivery of services in the client home, community, school, partner agencies, courts, etc.;
  • Work collaboratively with community partners in service delivery, and address community needs in order to build capacity;
  • Respond to societal trends, client needs, and local community issues through the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of effective services and outreach related to developmental concerns, mental health and substance use within a community capacity building and antiracism/antioppression analysis and practice;
  • Assume oncall/management coverage responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • M.S.W. or Master's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct clinical service experience with strengthsbased, family systems, antiracism/antioppression, community capacity building and youth engagement analysis and practice;
  • Experience providing supervision or leadership within a team;
  • Experience in mental health/substance abuse, developmental service sector service provision (intake, assessment of needs, developing formulations, collaborative service planning, individual counselling, parent/family counselling, trauma informed care, groups, youth friendly outreach and educational presentations);
  • Encourage and ensure a multidisciplinary approach to service delivery;
  • Experience with engagement, support and service provision to children, youth, and their families in racialized communities;
  • Demonstrated ability to provide services in both evidence informed family and individual therapies, service coordination and "nontraditional" approaches, and antiracist, culturally appropriate, communitybased ways which are responsive to the needs of youth and their families;
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity goals and principles; youth positive, LGBTQ positive and critical disability perspectives.

For the Wraparound related position:


  • High Fidelity Wraparound Training and Wraparound Facilitation experience considered an asset;
  • You will provide the Wraparound team with leadership in the identification and implementation of core competencies, Evidence-Based and Evidence-Informed practices and groups.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Aboveaverage verbal and written communication skills, including report writing, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of professional and community partners;
  • Knowledge of Black, Caribbean and African communities, LGBTQ communities, newcomer communities, and youth/young adults with mental health and/or substance use issues;
  • Strong teambuilding and collaboration skills;
  • A good understanding of antiblackracism and antioppressive practice;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and client record software;
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize with competing deadlines.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Registration with the OCSWSSW or CRPO is required;
  • Satisfactory clearance under the Vulnerable Sector Screening process;
  • Flexibility to work in different locations as needed;
  • Fluency in French or other second language relevant to community is adva
