Description

This key position at our front desk is an important link between sales, customers, trucks, and the rest of our team.

It is challenging at times, but rewarding when a good plan comes together; when you drive home over roads or past projects that you had a part in building.

The seasonal nature of our business dictates fast pace and longer hours in the spring/summer/fall and slower time in the winter.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Public face of Oxford Sand and Gravel Ltd. to incoming phone calls and visitors to the office.
  • Coordinator of aggregate trucking logistics and asphalt plant feed.
  • Maintain daily records of trucking business and assist with other record keeping and administration tasks as requested.
  • Inside sales representative for small projects and sales to the public.
  • General customer service representative working with outside sales to ensure customers' needs are met in an effective, timely manner.

Key Requirements:


  • The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator, keeping information flowing
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Customer focused and service oriented
  • Comfortable working with MS Excel and computers generally
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, multitask environment
  • Open minded, eager to learn and develop
  • Conscientious attention to detail
  • Bookkeeping/Accounting background an asset
