The Role


The Global Controller is responsible for the month-end close process, internal financial reporting, improving the existing accounting procedures and contributing to the financial health of Atlas.


Responsibilities

  • You will serve as a key technical accounting resource for the global finance organization and be responsible for development of finance staff and has significant interaction with the Regional Finance Directors, and other functional leaders (Operations, Revenue Operations, HR, IT, Legal).
  • You will assist with analysis of the financial results, maintaining the integrity of the accounting systems and internal controls environment, and ensure financial statements are prepared according to US GAAP.
  • You will lead our Global financial operations, accurate and timely consolidation of monthend results, distribution of monthly financial statements and its supporting schedules.
  • Other duties include designing and implementing improvements in the financial process to meet the Group's continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining appropriate relationships with external auditors and tax advisers.

Your Background

  • Prior experience in a financial reporting function, understanding of Global financial accounting rules and consolidation under US GAAP.
  • Significant experience in running Global AR and AP functions, understanding of different cultures and how it impacts the business.
  • Working knowledge of the income tax provision (ASC 740).
  • Experience with foreign currency environments and their accounting.
  • Experience in a "Big 7" accounting firm is preferred.
  • Experience in managing an extensive accounting and control operation for a company.
  • Working knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, business line reporting, cost control, and allocation principals.
  • Experience in analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports, statements and projections.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate accounting and control issues and concepts to senior executives.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct is ideal but not necessary
  • Experience with QuickBooks a plus
  • Experience working in a global organization a plus
  • Experience working in a PE backed, rapidly growing organization a plus
