Client Support Specialists are responsible for troubleshooting first level requests/calls from hospital staff and physicians. Calls are taken either directly by telephone or re-directed through a queue for on-site support. They resolve basic technical questions and work on hardware/software/network problems related to individual computer access. Client Support Specialists may also be responsible for monitoring the hospital's Data Centre operations, to ensure availability, performance, security and reliability - including operating procedures, system back ups/restores and system maintenance procedures


Client Support Specialists must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a pleasant phone manner, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical Clients with varying levels of computer knowledge.

Regular Full-Time

Rate of Pay:
$27.40 per hour - $34.26 per hour

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week


Qualifications:


  • Successful completion of a College diploma in Computer Science, Computer Networking, or Computer Specialist
  • A+ Hardware Certificate, MCSE or CNA preferred
  • Minimum (1) year recent, related experience in a high volume computer support environment
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical skills
  • Basic understanding of project management and project leadership
  • Demonstrated proficient problem resolution and troubleshooting skills and aptitude
  • Excellent customer service and interaction skills
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, record keeping, and timemanagement skills
  • Demonstrated effective communication (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and be resourceful
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's Mission, Vision and Values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
