The IT Coordinator will function as the strategic lead and primary technical support for all staff and will arrange, plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard organizational assets.

In partnership with the CEO and leadership, the IT Coordinator will identify new and innovative solutions to best meet the organizational, system partnered, and patient facing needs that increase efficiencies in care delivery.


What you will do:


  • Escalate issues when required to the thirdparty managed service provider and manage to reach a satisfactory resolution
  • Maintain a ticket system to track all work order requests and IT related issues
  • Manage the lifecycle of IT assets
  • Work with HR and the thirdparty managed services provider to manage user credentials and privileges, onboard new users with respect to IT, and disable or suspend access privileges as directed.
  • Consult with management to analyze computer system, phone system and other innovative technology solution needs for management information and IT functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to determine system capacity and equipment acquisitions
  • Recommend and develop plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, IT budgets and staffing to meet current and future organizational needs
  • Work with the thirdparty managed services provider to maintain and manage the SharePoint, OneDrive, and other shared network storage systems, backup and data recovery, IT disaster management, server and network infrastructure to ensure mínimal downtime and security compromise.
  • Recommend and negotiate (within approved delegation policies) contract terms with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for IT products and supervise their work
  • Back up of all systems and data recovery, maintain up to date system architecture of the IT system
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and compliance with government guidelines, acts and legislation pertaining to role or services provided
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned (related to various IT equipment and processes)

What you will need:


  • Undergraduate degree in related discipline or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Training and Knowledge in ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), and foundation certificate is an asset.
  • 3 or more years related experience in the IT field, preferably in a health care setting, value based nonprofit or social services organization
  • Experience teaching complex systems using adult learning principles
  • Experience with strategic largescale projects that improve overall efficiency of business processes considered an asset
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize IT escalations and technical issues
  • Advanced team collaboration skills balancing the needs of varied stakeholders
  • Excellent decisionmaking, problemsolving, and time management skills
  • Excellent written communication and oral skills that meet the needs of the individual and/or community at the appropriate literacy level.
  • Experience working with confidential and time sensitive documents and information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and advanced ability to multitask in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and interdependently in an interdisciplinary team environment in which the skills and responsibilities of each team member are recognized and respected.

Initial Hiring Salary Range:
$64,206 - $68,479 (consideration of experience)

Compensation package includes health and dental benefits and HOOPP pension benefits.
