- Conduct worker exposure monitoring in support of occupational hygiene assessments at a large variety of different work sites throughout the Province
- Perform on-site assessments, inspections and testing related to hazardous materials, indoor air quality parameters, mould, asbestos, lead, mercury, PCBs, ODSs
- Prepare technical reports
- Conduct effective safety inspections and audits
- Assist with developing various types of health and safety documentation, such as exposure control plans, health and safety programs, policies and safe work/operating procedures (i.e. confined space, fall protection, respiratory protection etc.)
- Liaise with clients to ensure needs, goals and objectives are addressed and met
- Build and maintain positive client relationships
- Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor Degree in the Occupational Health Safety or Hygiene (or related) field
- Six months to two years of experience
- Working knowledge (i.e. interpretation) of relevant health and safety legislation
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong client interfacing and customer services skills
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and execute detailed instructions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
- Familiarity/comfort with manufacturing and construction processes, fire and flood restoration, building operations, and architectural drawings considered an asset
