Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on hotel equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing issues such as clogged drains, leaky faucets, and toilets.
- Patch and repair drywall and paint hotel rooms and common areas.
- Install and repair light fixtures and switches as well as other minor electrical work.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and facilities are in good working condition.
- Respond to guest requests for repairs and maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment, and notify management when inventory levels are low.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and free of hazards.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in maintenance or related field.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and supplies.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- Ability to work in tight spaces and at heights.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
Salary:
$20.00-$33.80 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Prince George, BC V0J 3A2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
