    Join ATCO as a Forestry Planner within our Asset Management Group. This role is crucial for managing vegetation around our powerline infrastructure to protect and enhance the reliability and safety of our services. You'll oversee business functions crucial to our vegetation management program, contribute to regulatory filings, and support business planning and compliance activities related to our Wildfire Agreement with the Alberta Government and AESO vegetation standards.

    What You Get to Do:

  • Lead and support the development of business cases and regulatory filings related to vegetation management.
  • Manage financial aspects of the vegetation management program, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain a multi-year planning schedule to align with vegetation maintenance strategies and operational goals.
  • Monitor and report on key operational metrics to track performance and strategic goal attainment.
  • Ensure that annual maintenance plans comply with regulatory standards and company commitments.
  • Provide leadership and support for planning projects within the Asset Management Team, enhancing vegetation management strategies across ATCO.
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts and service agreements for vegetation management.
  • Engage across departments to leverage bundling opportunities and enhance efficiency in project execution.
  • What you Bring:

  • A degree in Forestry, Environmental Sciences, or Business from a recognized institution.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Alberta Association of Forest Management Professionals.
  • At least years of experience with electrical systems, preferably with direct involvement in vegetation management.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and contractor management.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) for effective data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong capability in business and technical writing.
  • A proactive approach to managing complex projects and diverse teams in a dynamic environment.
