Services Engineering is a key function of Services NAM (Americas). The function provides engineering expertise and technical solutions to the various Business Units (BU) of Services.

We support Operations and Maintenance (O&M) sites, as well as lead the design efforts for Asset Life Management (Modernizations, upgrades, overhauls of rail vehicles) and support the Parts Obsolescence BU.

We provide engineering support to all products maintained by Alstom that operate in the North American market (automated people movers, light rail vehicles, commuters, metros, locomotives ), as well as several of the infrastructure components (guideways, stations, depots, electrification and power distribution ).

We are 160 professionals, located in 17 different sites across the continent.

Alstom has an opening for a
NAM Fleet Support Manager.

The position is posted for our St-Bruno, Qc site but may be eligible for any Alstom Services sites in the USA and Canada.

In Alstom Services, our focus is to provide excellence in customer support and develop innovative mobility solutions.

  • Lead and manage the set up and operation of the first NAM maintenance fleet support center, used to centralize and display the O&M data from several fleet O&M sites
  • Manage team of Fleet Support Center engineers, coordinators and analyst
  • Manage team of Fleet Support Engineer to support multiple sites in NAM
  • Work with Digital Solutions engineering team to support, configure and analyse the data from hardware and software components to the projects
  • Provide second line of technical support to the O&M sites (level 1)
  • Ensure smooth transition of the FRACAS process from the rolling stock reliability engineering team to site Services O&M team
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs and other means of monitoring fleet reliability
  • Program alerts and data mining algorithms using Alstom digital tools such as Healthub and Orbiflo
  • Support Bids in producing and costing CBM offers
  • Support Sales and Business Development when selling CBM services to customers
  • Support Rolling Stock in the design and validation of the end to end process (data acquisition, model implementation, algorithm implementation and trigger of the alert, impact on the maintenance service)
  • Provide data supporting the optimization of the fleet maintenance regime
Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (rail, electronics or software engineering preferred) or any pertinent Bachelor Degree in data analysis
Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in railway, Data analysis or embedded CBM automation data monitoring industry
  • Experience in functional vehicle system engineering and/or experience in train/vehicle control and communication system
  • Hability to manage teams
  • High interrest and Knowledge on CBM digital monitoring tools and Data analysis
  • Project technical management experience
  • High degree of selfmotivation
  • Ability to work independently as well as to drive internal/external resources
  • Software technical background desirable
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate and build effective relationships across divisions and organisations
